I'm very happy with the stones themselves – they are beautiful and feel like high-quality pieces. BUT!!! However, I have one major issue with this mala: it has been strung on elastic cord instead of braided thread. A mala is meant to be used for mantra meditation, and elastic has no proper structure for that. It also wears out and breaks much more easily. Unfortunately, this makes the mala unsuitable for its intended purpose. I will now have to find someone to restring it on proper mala cord, which is disappointing. If it had been strung correctly, I would have given it a much higher rating.
